Oda said luffy is a COC especialist,Luffy awakened COC in pre skip!Luffy learned future sight while fighting Katakuri,Luffy unlocked advanced armament while trying to save himself and old man Hyogoro from the explosive shackles...Oda has been consistent with his writing!Doflamingo said devil fruit awakening happens in desperate situations.Rayleigh and Hyogoro said haki blooms in intense fights!So no,Oda writing is not rotten!He set this up a while ago!People are frustated because it kinda is predictable,i am fine with this because one piece is not about fights and powerscaling!One piece is about humour,adventure,world building and mysteries!

So Meme uses CoC on Page One but not Kid since she forgot about this ability up until Kaido explained it to the audience. Oda is a short-sighted, incompetent pleb when it comes to anything related to Haki.

protagonist and bad writing. so one piece will never stop being a shounen that separates from Naruto, Fairy Tail and others ... it will always be a shounen with basic writing.

That's true but Oda will find a way to work around it. For all we know, Zoro probably didn't even show Mihawk his Ashura mode

Love the color spread, but that’s not enough to salvage this hilarious shoehorning of Big Mom as an ally; I don’t know what Oda originally intended to do with her character, but if this was always the plan, maybe one of his editors should demand to see the last panels of the series he’s famously had figured out since the beginning and double check to make sure they aren’t outlandishly insane or this insulting to his longtime audience

So what about the other fights:1-what will the Scabbards do?2-who will Sanji fight?3-Who will Zoro fight?4-How will Kidd take down Big Mom?5-What is Yamato's role?6-What is Marco's role?
My bets:
1-Scabbards will Kill the traitor,fight random headliners and gifters!And later will protect Momo!
2-Sanji will take on King(he needs at least to take down a yc1 after all luffy and zoro have done)!
3-Zoro will take on Queen(he is too injured for King imo)!
4-Kidd will reveal or unlock his awakening and somehow use that big ass katana to fight Big Mom!
5-Protect Momo for now and later will go to the rooftop to get bitch slaped by papa Kaido!
6-Just heal and fight whoever starts to become troublesome,possibly protect Momo and Tama!Possibly finish Jack!

I reallyyyyy hope luffy wont beat him alone. Kaido should remain as the pinnacle of might and power in the one piece world.

I mean he has fought like 10 people before Luffy and it also injured a little because of the scar. Honestly, I can see it being kind of a draw. An external interference to finish the fight after Luffy has almost done the job such as an admiral would also be great though.

Yeah, that’s clearly the only piece of evidence that points to her joining Luffy’s side and not just the latest of the same. I clearly meant her reaction to Tama was the problem, not punching P1 specifically. Telling people to chill also usually has the reverse effect, so let me try something - DON’T fuck off

Thats true but luffy has received damage too(apoo, ulti, ragnaraku, flame blast, casual emperor hits). They both arent on 100% of their physical health so they are in a similar state. I dnot care who will assist him, anyone descently strong would be fine. Just dont make luffy beat an emperor in 1v1. That should be an eos feat.

I also agree that Luffy needs something more to defeat Kaido and fight will get desperate too. My point was, blooming of the haki at desperate times has already happened. I don't expect another haki upgrade, at least for this arc.

I am not talking about new haki upgrade ^.^ I am simply talking about the fact, that he wasn‘t in a real dire desperate situation, to justify his haki growth in this war. But these are just my two cents

From a writing stand point its easier for Oda to have Zoro defeat King with support.
And then have Sanji defeat Queen with minor support of some sort maybe chopper...

For Sanji vs King, I think Oda would have to do a whole lot of Plot convenience/ Bullshit/ Gymnastics to justify Sanji defeating King. And It would Need A LOT of Focus............
Sanji vs King would have to be the Most important Fight after Luffys, And I dont see that happening.......unless theres some sort of plot significance to it.
