Chapter Discussion [One Piece] Chapter 1014 ~ Predictions

- I think Yamato is stronger than all the Calamities not weaker than any of them.
- Yamato is considerably stronger than Raid Suit Sanji:
- Yamato was flat out superior to Luffy in their fight.
- When Sanji landed. a sneak attack on a Tobi Roppo, he failed to even make them spit blood. When Yamato landed one, she knocked them out cold.
- Yamato's main opponent for this arc is Kaido. She'll be strong enough to make their fight meaningful. At the very least, she'll put up a better fight than Post WCI Luffy (himself considerably stronger than Raid Suit Sanji).
- I don't really think Yamato is particularly likely to fight Jack, I just think she's more likely to face Jack than Jimbe.
- Yamato doesn't really have the opportunity to face any notable fighter other than Jack on her way to Kaido.
- Jimbe has not mid diffed Who's Who. He's been fighting Zoan Who's Who for a few hours and has taken some damage against him.
- Considering that Who's Who hasn't used his Hybrid form yet, it's not clear that Jimbe is even stronger than Who's Who now.
- Jimbe is not even on Jack's Floor. Jimbe is not likely to even encounter Jack let alone defeat him.
As for why Yamato might face Jack (mind you I don't think this is particularly likely):
- Yamato and Jack grew up together and may have had some history.
- There could be some emotional stakes and/or tension to their fight.
- Yamato is in between the 1st and 2nd Floors, and IIRC, Jack is on the 2nd Floor. On her way to Kaido, Jack may very well try to stop Yamato.
- Quickly defeating Jack is a good way for Oda to depict Yamato as a combatant capable of being a legitimate threat to Kaido.
I don't expect Yamato to have a full fledged fight with Jack β that's reserved for Kaido β but I can see them having a confrontation with Jack trying to stop her and Yamato blowing him out of her way or knocking him down.
At this point, I think Jimbe vs Jack is a pipe dream.

next chapte rwill be the last chapter of volume 100
next chapter will end with kaido walking we see him stepping forward with a panel of his boots and he was thinking about the straw hats
we see straw hat members defeated (usopp...)
then he start talking about roronoa zoro and how he reminds kaido of a certain woman
last panel of the left eye of zoro and the right eye of the woman that kaido is talking about (look of defiance)
kaido talks about that woman and how she was his beacon of something (beauty/hope/...)
start of kaido's flashback
next chapter will end with kaido walking we see him stepping forward with a panel of his boots and he was thinking about the straw hats

Where tf is the tragedy I was promised

Oda reintroduces Bellamy to the story who found the sunny and is sailing it following Luffys vivre card.
Bellamy grabs Luffy who comes back to consciousness and tells him he needs to get back up there.
Switch to onigashima, big mom uses another new move and shatters Kids metal arm who is saved by law.
Chapter then swaps to Yamato who meets up Jack who just off screened inuarashi. Jack calls her a traitor and begins to transform into hybrid (ending silhouette)

Although Chapter 1012/3 weren't the greatest of chapters, they set up a lot of interesting future plotlines. Namely regarding Luffy, Nami, Momo, and Yamato.
Based on this sort of layout, the flow is heading in the way I'd imagined. Yamato heading up will trigger a very significant interaction/conversation between Kaido and Yamato. This may serve as the entry into Kaido's past, Yamato's life story, and even Rocks/God Valley information.
Backtracking to Chapter 1003, I am fairly certain, this chapter was an Act ending chapter. The clues are as follows..
That would signify this chapter (1003/1013) and/or the following chapter being the Volume ending Chapters, given a similar train of flow. Luffy is down bad (1003 Luffy ran out of Gear 4 Haki) and the surrounding circumstances are looking murky (Luffy down, Zoro down, Sanji has to carry Zoro).
Some people, me included, eagerly believe this chapter and the next are tragic chapters leading to an act end (although we say this every other "tragic moment"). This time, however, the triggers include Zoro's incapacitation, Luffy getting flung unconscious, and Tama's injury from Ulti; three significant characters within this entire arc. Anyways, pacing should get quicker and a slew of events may be thrown at us, perhaps regarding Jinbei, Killer, Eustass, Law, Sanji/Zoro, Kaido/Yamato, Tama/Nami/Usopp, Franky, Robin/Brook, Chopper/Queen, etc.....
Now if this next set of chapters (at least until 1018) are not act ending, then this arc will not follow a 5 Act Structure, imo.

- Luffy is saved by Sabo and Rev's based on some cover art and my theories about Sabo & Rev's whereabouts.
- Luffy reunites with Vivi, would mark 800+ chapters since they've last seen each other. (Void Century Number ~ Yes this is a reach Ik)
- Or Luffy lands on BMP Ship or on Wano for building tension.
- Someone said Luffy vs Kaido will be on Land, Sea, and Air. So far they've fought on Land and Air, maybe Luffy is conscious again and this time fights Kaido on Sea, since G4 can make him fly above the Waters.
Luffy is also smiling, could be because he is happy to reunite with Sabo again.
