this is good actually.....running out of haki is even worse....normal defeat is fine...since it is offpaneled we can speculate Kaido fought seriously and we can also see that Luffy fought in base....even more is that Luffy not utilizing CoC properly meaning that even that level of usage made Kaido excited about Luffy which further implies that Luffy going to use it way better next time and he will come back even stronger....losing haki is just lame...
