Oh for sure, the overworld was awesome. I think 3 houses could have been on the level of Radiant Dawn if they fixed a few things. More non player characters and scenes relating to the 3 kingdoms would have helped the world building immensely, making Crimson flower as long as the other routes (it's 6 chapters shorter) and not recycling levels between routes. It may not have been quite as good, but it could have gotten close.

I feel all those complaints. Especially Crimson Flower. I expected two levels minimum fighting Edelgards uncle and it just cut to the ending after beating the Sexy Pope.

Is the DLC worth it at all?

Unless, unleeeeeeeessssss, he's not really down. Remember, it's important to see how the chapter portrays victory. For example, we couldn't confirm WsW was down UNTIL chapter 1022, 4 chapters after Jinbe punched his face in.

Maybe he does have awakening, or something up his sleeve. It's possible Oda drew Inu and Neko's victory chapters, but then shows us a plot twist with Jack. I don't expect this obviously, but it's something potentially look out for. That way Queen wasn't lying about their toughness.

I actually dont think King or Queen will.
King won’t just because it seems like his hybrid form is being saved as his game changer.
Queen won’t just because he won’t have it if King doesn’t.

Kaido and Big Mom won’t have it either if Oda is really trying to speed run this arc.

It’s bizarre but apparently it’s possible that none of the strongest zoans in the world have awakening.

Personally I disagree only because Queen is already shown in hybrid, and should in theory understand the nature of devil fruits enough to know what awakening is. Like if Doflamingo and Kata do, then I cant see why at least King and Queen don't. Jack has been portrayed as "lesser" than they are in terms of his relevance this entire raid, so I can understand why he might not know it (though I hope he does somehow past this chapter)


I think this is the one and only time Oda can truly drive home what awakening is for Zoans. He spent the last 2 arcs doing this for Paramecia (which foreshadows Luffy's own version in the future), and may do so again with the Admirals and their awakening powers (between the 4, and assuming Green Bull is some form of mythical zoan (totally separate theory lol) you'd see awakenings for Zoan, Paramecia AND Logia to drive the concept home).

This sort of directs us on the future of OP fights because awakening seems to be the key to how fights eventually go, at least for Luffy. But i hope it happens for Zoro and Sanji with their opponents at least.

Anyway, let's wait and see. Not much longer now!

Midhawk was written to conquer a blade, Luffy was written to conquer the world, there is levels to this
