the other mangaka was convicted of child porn. which just so happens to be at the same time where oda complimented him or made a comment about something else because oda was once an apprentice to that mangaka so its purely bad timing and coincedence

And then Oda did an interview or something with him, it wasn't just a compliment. I understand that Oda was his apprentice and shit but it was still kinda messed up tho.
