Stuff like "they had their fruit for years" basically is a fact for nearly any fruit user in this verse lol. That's not a legit explanation.
That would be seriously disappointing if he keeps it at that or perhaps he's diving deep into it, when Luffy finally gets it or makes BM or Kaido explain it. As a guy who spent a lot of time thinking about all that stuff and what could potentially trigger it, a solid explanation would be very satisfying.

Sanji's upgrades are so broken he still counters Kidd's Awakening with a body that cant witstand metal crashing into it, and is one of the few people in the verse with regeneration to handle Law's internal damage

it is the opposite. Sanji is now steel so Kidd's fruit is even more useful against him

Being hard to master doesn't make it magical if i recall correctly big mom had similar reaction to Luffy pummeling Kaido.
The sword wasn't wielding itself neither was it using a dead mans haki so in the end reaction is about Zoro not the sword itself
