If you need a gimmick to be strong you're not insurmountable. And lets not kid ourselves. The more information we get, the more its clear that Zoro without Enma is barely even YC3 if not below. The Zoro that is being trashed by King right now is clearly weaker than the Luffy that fought Katakuri even before FS. That Luffy actually has victories against commander level opponents.

And before "Muh Scar" He couldn't do it without Enma and even then, damaging Kaido is wholly binary. It's either you can or you can't based on having Ryou. G4 is still superior to anything Zoro and or King has show cased thus far.

Katakuri will remain the standard for YC1. He was Luffy's opponent and Luffy's standards and opponents will always be superior to that of Zoro and Sanji's.

For the last time - Ace was not weak. Whitebeard knew it, so did Blackbeard and Shanks. He just lost to Blackbeard, Whitebeard and Akainu. There is no shame in that. He held off Aokiji with ease and toyed with Smoker. Ace at 20 was top 20 in the world fast rising to number 1. No one younger than 39 (Shanks) could beat him and only Sabo could probably compete with him.

King mid diffing Katakuri wouldn't make sense for the sake of balance anyways. But the gap is close. Excellent evader vs excellent tanker.

Well, Zoro and Marco clearly dealt damage to him when he was off guard - and Katakuri is good at finding weakspots, especially with his awakening. I still put King, Marco and Katakuri on the same ballpark, King can be stronger than Marco and Katakuri individually but I doubt he mid diffs or even stomps them. Especially Katakuri was a victim to MC's plotarmor. +50 hits don't lie.

You are correct sir. I'd say the correct order is Marco > King > Katakuri but that is only based on WB > Kaido > Big Mom. And no big gaps, more like 100 - 99 - 98 or 100 - 98 - 96.

-Being able to cut through Dragon Kaido's scales without much hassle with one of mid-tier attacks
-Momentarily block the strongest attack in OP history so far
-Permanently scar the strongest creature in the world, and overwhelm in CQC during your attack all while having 30+ broken bones

And still going hard, with a power-up in store.

And then there's Hiyori.

What if "King" is actually the title for strongest Lunarian who wins the survival of fittest. Like One Piece equivalent of Shiyuu title.

We always guessed "King, Queen, Jack" is named by Kaido based by card game.
But what if King is already "King" before he even joined Beast Pirates. Then Kaido just continued the trend for his Calamities, following his First Mate's name?

Kaido cares about his best friend, that's why he decided to call his crew based on cards.
