Zoro does not need CoC to fight King lol. He needs CoC to control Enma. Zoro literally said he needs to understand King's race in order to damage him.

Zoro still wont be able to damage King, he still needs to understand why he is not taking damage or his inmunity to his attacks.

He has the durability, the healing (apparently), the recovery, the physical strenght and AP, his race perks with fire and resistance, can blow himself up and cause huge ass explosions that would have killed Zoro if not for haki protection, Zoro has done little damage so far, capable of overpowering Zoro in general and in CQC, flight and maneuverability. And now Oda gave Zoro the CoC powerup to take this dude out (I think using it consistently).

The thing is, the fight doesn't give the impression of being over really. If King matches it....yeah...LOL...

The difference is King is healing with his flames, like he did this chapter after the SSSSS, constantly against Zoro while he didnt do it after Marco. Plus all Marco managed was a few drops of blood, even Rengoku Onigiri did more.
