not really he has logical weight to what he says it also seems like the point of zoro's match up was to introduce king as someone who can tank and shrug sword attack
the guy seals cuts by burning them up like he did against zoro's shishi son son
without his fire he won't be able to do that
and his kryptonite seems to be blunt force attacks.
when Marco kneed him to absence for a chapter bleeding, you can see King has his flames active which further proves the point that his fire is the ideal defence/treatment against sword cuts.. exactly why he said "my hide is a level above" in his DF form due to this perk of being a Lunarian
as you can see King's flames are active
he's more "durable" when he's in his hybrid/DF form against blunt force than in his base..
This goes well with how King and Queen are presented and Zoro and sanji's foes as their combat style's ideal counter
Queen : someone who soaks blunt attacks all over ( his counter his cuts and shockwaves or even burning attacks)
King: someone who soaks sword slashes and cuts all over (his counter being hard blunt attacks and strategic attacks when he isn't using flame)
This is no way saying that he isnt durable..
but without his flames and given his DF.. Queen with his thick ass flipin hide seems more durable.
no crappy bias here
