It's said right before the Kaido/Luffy scene. It's just that they are commending the alliance for getting "this far" but it doesn't matter if they can't beat the Yonko.

Read this part of the Redon spoiler:

CP0 member: "You must hurry, we have to leave this castle soon.
“Ookanban” has been defeated!!
If it turns out that the “New Generation” wins this battle,
this could add fuel to the “events” that already are occuring across the world.
What will happen in this next few minutes,
will determine the new era...!!"

While the CP0 member says this, we see Sanji (his left eyebrow has returned to normal), Killer, Bepo, Zoro, Law, Big Mom and Kid. CP0 boss replies him.

CP0 boss: "... It's true.
But...
this is as far as humans can go..."

Cut to the roof of Onigashima's castle. The clashes of Luffy and Kaidou attacks with Color of the Supreme King Haki continue to rumble.

It's very clearly a reference to Kaido himself, being an Ogre. They obviously feel this way for a reason and we don't exactly know why.
Or it referrence to LUFFY, Kaido and king not being fully human.

Interesting analysis there is definitely more to kaido there has to be reason why no one killed him in 40 years.

Not sure why you'd stretch it to that lmao

He literally says it after the other one says the Calamities were defeated and they're talking about what happens if they beat the Yonko.

It's literally a reference to Kaido foremost and has nothing to do with King. Luffy winning as a human or D. Clan is a different story

Nah... Luffy is definitely human. He may be a descendant/reincarnation of Joyboy and Sun God Nika. But those are legends and most likely not meant to be taken literally. Luffy is no more God than Enel. Big Mom and Kaido clearly have genes from other races which made them monsters even at a young age. Big Mom is probably part Giant and Kaido is an Ogre making them monsters in the eyes of regular people.

I hate this troupe but it looks like luffy is sort of destiny child.

Its turning out to be like Naruto .

I really wonder what oda's going to do with bepo

He has a ridiculously good portrayal lol, oda's straight up grouping him with zoro sanji and Killer even tho he's at best carrot level

Ooh, i get it now, that dialogue occured just before the scene cut to Luffy vs Kaidou, thats why the hype refers to Kaidou right?

...that being the case, does it also foreshadow that Luffy have to physically morph into something that is inhuman-like as well? :crazwhat:

Yeah that's true.

But look at it this way. Naruto and Luffy both still had to put in a great deal of effort to get to where they are.
They had to work their butts off. Form the right kind of friendships and make the right choices without losing sight of their goal or giving up when things got hard. It wasn't just handed to them on a silver platter.

No it overall ruins theme of the story.

When story of mc was all along destiny child it sort of ruins the progress they made so far. One of the reason Naruto part 2 became unpopular showing he is incarnation of hogoromo's child all along. His hardwork didnt matter in the end he was special all along.

I think op is no different the day luffy is revealed to be joyboy the story will just be predictable .

I think its more that he will be the human that surpasses the "monster" Kaido, that may or may not be related to the D. Clan though.

I think what's gonna be interesting is how Oda puts up characters like Blackbeard, Akainu, Shanks and Im above that as potential opponents for Luffy after this point though.
