That would mean Law could use his Rooms ability outside his room but it's not how his powers work. The only possible options are either Law created separate sphere(inside room) to contain Big Mom or Law cut Misery without his abilities.

The spoiler stated he created a room around Big Mom. I interpreted that as a room large enough to fit Big Mom and misery inside.
