This is the problem with Oda's writing, can anyone argue against the fact that Pica has more crushing power than Midd when he walks around as a country sized golem? The medicine didn't fully recovery Zoro. If it did he wouldn't have those bruises and scuff marks all over his body.

King didn't put Zoro in that condition. Side effects of the medicine did.

A gimmick is a trick. Katakuri is a fighter that uses a gimmick. He tricks your opponent thinking he's invincible. King's power is more like Luffy gears but King can switch between it in a instant and it doesn't consume alot of his energy.
