The flash vibrate his molecules at a different frequency( the freuqnecy of the object he wants to pass through) allowing him to pass through objects. Luffy expands and contracts his cells using the same principle to phase through objects.

I love this chapter, kinda got old pre ts Luffy vibes. I wouldn't take it so serious about the goofy fight so far. It kinda like a pre ts battle(pre Grandline), the serious tension will comeback soon.

So far you can feel that Luffy is playing around, the last punch was actually a serious hit. We will see more of Luffy crazy power+haki, which will make him even far stronger.

Kaido also will use his awakening, it looking good.
