Is it weird ? There goal as swordsmen was to take his head and avenge oden then luffy took over and they entrusted it to him and luffy has defeated kaido punching him into a volcano luffy isn’t a swordsman so therefore they wouldn’t expect luffy to take his head but to do things his way
