If Blackbeard wasn't in the story

there would be no Marineford and Ace would be alive

if Akainu wasn't in the story, there would be Marineford, and most likely there would be another Admiral in his place

now, i don't know if they would be able to kill Ace without Akainu, so the war could go differently

but to me it's clear that Blackbeard had way more impact in the story than Akainu Pre-TS

and Post-TS neither have done much yet, seems like both are making their moves now

But also when I talk about story significance I don’t just mean like, shifting the world.

I also mean it in terms of significance to our protagonists. And in that sense I think Shanks, Blackbeard, Akainu, Dragon, Mihawk, etc are all much more connected to our MCs than Big Mom or Kaido which makes them feel more significant if that makes sen.

And also, if we’re talking about significance to our characters I actually think there’s a pretty good argument that Akainu is more significant than Blackbeard.

obviously i think Blackbeard and Akainu are above Kaido and Big Mom in that matter

Jokes aside i really am worried about how OP will continue and eventually conclude.

Wano feels like an omen for the eventual final war/conflict, where Oda is just unprepared to handle so many plot threads and characters at the same time and thus everyone ends up dissapointed in something

Be it Admirals, Mihawk, Shanks, BB, Imu or even Caribou. No one is safe from rushed mid writting if things continue like this.
