Yup, they should be able to break free by transforming under normal circumstances. Either GB's ability makes it so they can't transform or they just couldn't do it for unknown reasons.

Another thing that I noticed, King is in a completely different area, the fodder crying out for King and Queen is on from the other side of the gate in the background, while Queen is being fodderized King is on his bed recovering.

We could argue about numbers. What we can't argue about however is that King and Queen had backup and Ryo didn't.

and those fodder may have been more of a hindrance since Ryo can probably also heal himself by sucking nutrients from people.

Becuase Ryo can heal himself by absorbing people’s nutrients, the fight may have been more difficult than we think since Ryo could have healed any injuries he got by the time we see him. Look at his pants, there’s several tears in it (presumably from the fight)

I love how this goes from "he probably can" to "he can" in the span of a paragraph.

If Oda wanted to portray a more difficult fight then he would of but fun fact, he hasn't. He has shown the immediate aftermath of a neg diff fight with a completely uninjured Greenbull literally liquidating two top YCs and their backup using an inherent ability of his devil fruit.

"Look at his pants" might have been an argument if we saw his design before and his trousers were not ripped but we have not. This is his design reveal and ripped trousers are just a fashion statement for him.

Besides, if the fight was that bad why are only his trousers ripped instead of the entirety of his outfit?

@Fleet Admiral Lee Hung @Blackbeard Yankers are now using fashion choices to defend neg diffed YCs.

because all of a sudden they are in jail?
if kid and luffy had seastrone cuffs when they were imprisoned in udon there is no reason to think queen and king would not be unless you think babanuki can beat them on a fair fight.

ryokugyu would still beat them anyway but is a valid argument.

Babanuki is the one in charge of the prison, they obviously have some seastone on them otherwise they would have fled long ago...

I actually hate to say it .... but

1- King is not at all dry
2- Green Bull failed at piercing King, his plant was bent down

You might be on to something.

Everyone else bodies were completely pierced through by the plants and shriveled up. Even the wine barrel was completely pierced through.

We don't see that with King. That would be an easy way for Oda to show us GB plants can pierce King's body.

Either GB didn't pierce King's body and the scene shows the vine failing to pierce his body. Or the vine barely pierced his body but wasn't enough to take his energy.
