Only thing I can think of is a soil soil fruit, naturally containing both seeds and spores he then absorbs nutrients, light and whatever else is needed to grow various plants; as he walks he releases these seeds and spores and that allows him to turn his environment into forests- passively. Not too scientific but good enough for a Shonen I guess.
