I'm not sure why wanting both to join is such a big issue for you
Nor why you're so upset that I like Carrot as a character and wanted her to join in the first place
I think you've been spending too much time in the Nakama thread
:choppawhat:
The issue has never been Carrot fans liking Carrot as a character, it's wanting her to join the main crew of the story whom each and everyone of them have been amazingly fleshed out and detailed thorougly by the author.. While Carrot is not even remotely close to reach them being a poor unexplored surface character..

I don't know whether Oda just wants to rush the story and sacrificed Zoro's character for it or he's just too scared to make Zoro look anything than perfect right now, a sort of Gary Stu and Erza-like character.

Saying that though, we learned WAY more about Erza by the end of FT and knew a lot about her throughout the series too. It was only her fights and fighting style that were the issue really.

Oda is doubling down on the "cool swordsman" trope , the mysterious badass and won't let Zoro risk being controversial like Sanjis character arc has been and his new storylines and such. He's too scared to challenge Zoro like that ironically.

Even Usopp, Chopper and Nami have feel like they have really regressed as characters and become parodies of themselves. Usopp did nothing in this raid and was helpless. What happened to his CoO unlock?

Fuck man, how did this not end up being Zoro's ultimate arc too? Is he just gonna fight some strong dudes, ideally fight Mihawk, win and become WSS and thats it? What about Kuina too? Tashigi? Ryuuma? Ushimaru? His own family and lineage? Fucks sake.

Imagine if he doesn't get his all out fight with Mihawk? I wouldn't put it past Oda at this point especially, since hes trolling so hard with Shanks too.
Wano was pretty much the Litmus test to see how Oda would handle the final arc, and I am really worried now. Similarly, Captain America Civil War was the test to see if the Russo Brothers could handle Avengers Infinity War, and Endgame. That movie was really good because it managed to handle a large cast of characters, while never losing sight of its plot. It had to give a valid excuse on why Stark would go out of retirement, and set up everyone's motivation to pick a side. It had to be a Captain America sequel while also being Avengers 2.5. It had to introduce Spider-man, and Black Panther into the story. In the hands of other directors, and studios it could have been an absolute disaster, and they handled it like champs. This was possibly RDJ's best performance in the MCU. I remember going out of the theater with my bff extremely excited for IW, and that movie lived up to the hype. I did not love Endgame but it was still a worthy finale.

Wano still had its moments but Oda messed on parts where he should have not that you pointed out. Civil War challenged our heroes in every way while Wano did not. I had this whole scenario that Blackbeard would come, make the raid fail and declare himself as the son of Xebec, and revive the Rocks Pirates thus becoming the greatest threat the world has ever seen (teased by Garp). My act 4 would have been about the crew raising from the ashes with Zoro surpassing Oden and rallying the people of Wano to take matters into their own hands. I had this whole image that CP0 would give into Orochi's demand to bring Vegapunk to his country as a way to bring Smoker, and Tashigi into the story. This time the marine duo would protect the Straw Hats. In my headcanon, Tashigi was gonna teach the weaker Straw Hats Haki, and a heart to heart moment with Marimo. Sandai Kitestsu would have been destroyed in the raid thus giving Nidai an actual role. Momo would have entrusted Ame No Habakiri to Tashigi. I would have explored how Zoro's past in Wano, and how he landed in East Blue. I would have started the epic tale of Luffy, and Smoker teaming up and taking down the Rocks pirates like Roger, and Garp before them.

Mihawk is a cheat code
Even Arlong will be consider a Yonko crew if he joins :blush::blush:

The only reason he was a solo player coz he knew that if he joins or make a crew, they will be consider a Yonko level threat and he isn't interested in such :suresure::suresure::suresure:

So overrated that Croc and Mihawk became his underlings?

I don't think that works quite the way you think it does lmao.

Hes like a modern day Xebec right now. Recruiting extremely powerful people, recruiting tons of loyal, worshipping followers from Impel Down including level 6 prisoners, becoming a Warlord and now a Yonko through sheer luck, deception and cunning lol.
Putting bounties on the Marines heads and giving them a taste of their own medicine and turning them into the prey too.

:kaidowhat:
Yeah but its pure because the plot to fill the story.
Sorry if my saying hurt ur feeling as buggy fans.
But seriously i cant take it anymore.
Come on someone as strong as shanks become his underlings, even mihawk just use this oppertunity to reach something.
