They were scared of angering Kaido but were totally ok with letting Shanks come right up to them.

What I find funny about this chapter is Law proves the point I have made about haki countering DF power. The days of claiming Zoro can't counter Law's or Kid's DF are over. This chapter increase the gap between Zoro and them.

There you can see there are still plants and Aramaki is still a wood men. Going by your description Aramaki would completely be negated to a point his powers don't exist in the presence of Shanks haki

But that’s not that impressive imo. There’s comics where the scare crow gets Superman under fear gas, despite (obviously) not being stronger than him.

GB is just more of an over-reactor than the other admirals and pooped his pants when caught offguard by fear hax.

Fujitora and Kizaru wouldn’t in the same situation since we saw that Film Red at close range. It’s a personality thing.
