This makes a ton of sense, and brings Fujitora back into the story. Would be fun, too: in Dressrosa, a Warlord and Admiral chased Law down. Here, we could have the smae Admiral saved Law from a former Warlord.

One has to consider too that Blackbeard pissed a lot of people and a lot of them are just waiting for him to be occupied to initiate a pincer attack. Another group might intervene in the middle of the fight for two reasons. First is for targetting Blackbeard himself and second, needing Law to ally with them. Cross Guild would be my best guess.
