I think I'm starting to realize why Oda decided to not give awakening to Kaido, King and Queen. They all were already very balanced with versatile and lethal abilities. King is a highly skilled lunarian and Queen is a cyborg. Awakening would just make them too strong which would destroy the balance. About Kaido, I dunno but I think he'll show awakening later on to prove why he's the WSC. But if Kaido used awakening in Wano, Luffy wouldn't win the battle at all.

King > seraphin (which was kind of hyped by an other yonko) - King so far is the strongest first mate (I am not including the old gen here)
Look what axe power can do (stussy with 1 bite would KO lucci which was clashing with G5)
King axe lunarian power is probably 1 of the best shit in One Piece so far

Yes it does. That means there is an established prey - predator relationship. So what if they only hunt them in the dry season. It still makes them their predator.

so since eagles sometimes take small children does that now mean humans are prey to eagles, and that eagles hunt humans?

Luffy only holding back Adv CoC and using GEAR 5 for the entire battle, as well as Armament Haki, and Haki clashing ON PAR with Lucci... is not a problem when Luffy shows that he is casually superior to Lucci

Zoro holding back any named attacks, CoC, King of Hell Style etc and still blocking Kaku's best attacks and stomping him to the ground, showing that he is casually superior to Kaku... somehow makes some people thinking it's funny to troll about Zoro not being stronger than Kaku

Of course the same people would never say that Luffy <<< Zoro bcz of their different performances vs Hyozo and vs Monet, or that Zoro >>> Sanji bcz of their different performances in... the entire manga, or that Zoro >>> Kid/Law bcz of their different performances on Rooftop

Fun fact, Zoro vs Kaku did far, far better than Fujitora vs Zoro! Imagine what would have happened if Kaku blocked and repelled Zoro like Zoro did with Fujitora...

Zoro with minimal effort (no named moves, no three swords, no Haki... never seen him so casual) blocked that attack and even repelled it back, pushing back Fujitora
In the process received Fujitora's praise and had the bystanding Marines surprised and worried for the Admiral

It's a "bit better" than Kaku using Awakening and his best named moves... only to be casually blocked and stomped into the ground by a Zoro who didn't used any named move nor Adv CoC

But of course it's Zoro...
The double standard against Zoro are so sad

The beast pirates might not have awakening but they have things to compensate for that. At least compared to lucci and kaku

1. Ulti and page one have dino zoans
2. Sasaki has a dino zoan on top of being a fishman
3. Black maria has an ancient spider zoan on top of being some big ass oni lady
4. Who's Who staight up has a stronger better version of lucci's
5. Jack is a big ass Fishman with a mammoth zoan
6. Queen a cyborg with a brachiosaurus zoan
7. King a lunarian with a pteranodon zoan

Lucci and kaku being awakened definitely gives them a big boost but as to how they compare to the beast pirates they not top yc level

Yes, you are right that the lion is the main predator of the giraffe.

You are also right that they mainly target them when there is no other prey or when they are young and weak.

However, this still doesn't mean that the leopard is not a predator of the giraffe, as quoted in the article:

"Leopards, hyenas, and wild dogs are other predatory carnivores that are a serious threat to giraffes, especially for newborns or very young who do not have the height, size, strength and experience needed to defend themselves. Lions and leopards usually choke their prey by the throat and crocodiles perform their “twist of death” to kill them almost instantaneously, but hyenas and wild dogs usually begin to eat before the giraffe is dead."

They do "especially" target newborns or very young giraffes, but they are a "serious threat" to giraffes in general.

1. Cap. Luffys attacks would have landed quicker. It was made obvious that reduction in speed and power as a fruit user was establish.

2. Katakuri is a horrible example since kats reaction speed was higher so even in that fight speed was a factor hence why luffy entered a striking speed form known as snake man.

As for your first point, no that's just your headcanon. Luffy defeated Hody easily, simple as. Sanji/Zoro didn't.
