I doubt they're going to be written out of the upcoming arcs. These events basically guarantee Kid and Law will play major roles in the next big arc going forward.

Kid and Law will definitely play a role in the downfall of Shanks and Teach, even if they aren't the ones who ultimately take them out.

Going forward, Blackbeard is a very personal oriented enemy for the Straw Hats. I doubt they will be included in that arc or fight. It would dilute the focus. They might still get updates, running into marines or Cross Guild but I can’t see them shacking up with Luffy or being major players in the pirate king race anymore.

Oda's bringing Kizaru cause he knows Luffy can pull his Goofy shenanigans on him. Make the lasers bounce off using his Awakening etc.
Ryokugyu would quickly drain and fodderize Nika Luffy. Doesn't he already turn into a grandpa after G5?

Aramaki would speed up that process greatly.

Aramaki washes Luffy. Terrible matchup. Even assuming Aramaki can't pierce thru Luffy's CoA which is a massive stretch Gear 4 still has uncovered parts that are prone to stabbing attacks and Kaido has proven that a kid with a butter knife would be capable to cut or pierce through Luffy's skin in G5. Coupled with his general stamina issue (see Lucci fight) Ryokugyu is his worst nightmare. Mid diff.

If you add steel to diamond, the diamond does become more durable it is still as durable as diamond

Honestly? I kinda want both.
On one hand, I can see a beautiful tragic potential how Luffy never got to see him again due to, lets say BB.

On the other:
I totally wanna see Luffy vs Shanks as the final battle for the One Piece.
Not a fight where Luffy has to fight a big bad but just two crews who actually respect shit out of another for the grand prize. No animosity, no ill will or hatred.

It stacks but the difference is negligible. They’re intentionally made Lunarians for their endurance/durability, giving them Pacifista steel frames won’t change their durability or absorb much impact because that type of defense is one shot material for any new world fighter worth their salt.

We don't know what he has at the moment. He already saw ryuo and ACoC. He was on the roof when Kaido used thunder bagua and ragnaraku on Luffy. We know for a fact he saw Luffy's ACoA, as he commented on it.

So I don't think its out of the question for him to have developed low level ACoC. If this were the case, it would honestly hype up Shanks's haki even more when Shanks defeats him.

He barely knew ryuo when luffy used it, and he never knew wtf is coc coating, because first time luffy realizes is when got hit by 3k world ragnaraku that time kidd is fighting bm even he saw it he probably dont know whag is. Adcoc is the strongest abilty im pretty sure oda wouldnt make kidd awaken it just for him to got mid diff lol. Also if kidd would awaken it later i expect oda would showcase kidd's coc basic here and ryuo
