Shanks doesn't even have two arms like Hawkeye.

And as you said, Mihawk's CoC infused sword techniques must be better than Shanks's own stuff as well because that's how you define it.

Because being able to use them on a sword doesn't imply you can use them in other ways. And yes, Shanks hasn't shown that he can without his swords, but I believe he can.
