See, but we are cherry picking things. Because yes, while Ace was not the original goal, becoming Shichibukai, gaining a crew, then becoming a Yonko was in fact his true goal. Its not all about luck and fate. He actually pushes for these things

In this case, we do not know his true goal actually is. What does becoming a recognized King of Hachinosu even accomplish? Why does he ignore Aokiji when he stated its not going to work?

This is why i think the answer is Garp.
Unless Kuzan told BB Garp would specifically chase him I doubt it

goal= Become Warlord/King of Fullalead

how to do it= Capture Luffy/Koby

lucks into = capturing Ace/Garp

The similarities are literally hitting you in the face lol

There’s nothing wrong with being affiliated with the World Government, this is the largest and most powerful organization in the OP world, simply being affiliated with them is fine lol.

But Yonko fans who are morons shat on Admirals for “being Government dogs,” well it turns out Teach wishes he had the status in the WG that an Admiral does lmfao.

Casual reminder that Fujitora walked into the Reverie and manipulated the world’s kings to his will.
Technically, that means Teach will be paying Sakazuki's paycheck to Imu as a tribute, to stay affiliated.

What a fucking travesty.

Good catch. Remembering he still doesn't believe Aokiji it makes sense he doesn't tell him the truth. But why he wouldn't protect Koby himself? Is he underestimate Garp that much to think only a fraction of his crew is enough to beat him and whoever he brings together? Or maybe he will just drop his fight with Law in order of this bigger fish "Garp".

Would be interesting but what is Garp's value? That's the point. Garp is irrelevant to Teach.

It’s just one character believing in another.

Garp taught Coby so he has faith in Coby, but until Coby can back up that faith Garp puts in him it’s just to be taken with a grain of salt.
Cap. Oda has made it clear when the previous powerful generation believe in you, you will eventually be that guy.

The same way mihawk puts faith in zoro

The same way shanks and rayleigh puts faith in luffy

The same way Garp and Shanks puts faith in coby.

That's the reason why both zoro and luffy believed in coby being an admiral and why coby equally believes in them

The problem is all Admirals are portrayed nearly equally with zero admirals being portrayed as exceptional or beyond the others in any way.

So by that logic if one has it then they all must have it, there is literally no distinction among any of them as being any more special or promising than the others.

And man, if a guy who literally manipulated the world’s kings to his will doesn’t have king’s Haki, literally no one does. Lol
There are 4 characters with Fleet Admiral Akainu ,5 counting in Kuzan who is a former Admiral.
They are portrayed a the peak fighting force of the Marines afterall.
So it could be ,i mean all past Yonkos literally had it except for BB and Buggy .
Both Groups Yonko and Admirals are portrayed to be the top of their groups.
And man, if a guy who literally manipulated the world’s kings to his will doesn’t have king’s Haki, literally no one does. Lol
Oh boy when Buggy shows it we are in for a ride ,the man manipulated the whole world into thinking he is a powerhouse with the qualities of leading the likes of Mihawk and Crocodile :myman:
