Honestly with how much oda is emphasizing lore, tech, and devil fruits it does have a vibe that more resembles the pre timeskip vibe of one piece.

Emperors saga really does feel like filler in comparison.

It served its purpose I guess:

- Get 3 of 4 RPs (let alone introducing the concept)


Its not much outside of character/island diversity, but I feel like it was warranted (just not its length lol....)
