You can make a case for Garp being injured. But observing the panels, it looks like even Prior to that, they were fighting equally, given both were bruised and removed their coats. You can also make a case that Garp was old, but at the same time, Aokiji has an awakened top tier logia which he could use along side his brawl. The color trio were labeled as the Marine's strongest officers and the WG's strongest military force. So Aokiji being stronger than old Garp, by feats and portrayal, is reasonable.
Oda really should have given advCoC something other than black lightning.
Anyway, I find it really odd that out of the multiple times where it might have been used on Hachinsou, not a single fodder was fainting on panel. Still think it makes the most sense for Kuzan and Garp to have it at least, just think it's odd

Cope. That was objectively an equal Haki clash lol. Each of them had the exact same portrayal and reacted to each other's punches in the same way.
Reminder Aokiji isn't even in his physical prime anymore. He lost a leg and is a cripple now. If aokiji were still in his prime he likely would've cleanly overpowered Garp with just a punch.
Him refusing to serve Akainu's Navy doesn't mean he'd suddenly align himself with the Revolutionaries, that's how I see it. They wouldn't be able to necessarily recruit him even if they tried. Also it seemed like no one really knew where he was, like he just resigned and disappeared and no one could really find him. It seemed like even Teach found him by complete accident.
I also think from Garp's reaction that the Marines didn't even know he was with Blackbeard until recently. Even the Gorosei's reaction to Akainu made it seem like they had just found out.
