That wasn't a casual kick. He had to build up big momentum and he kicked him aside. He didn't even go for a piercing strike or similar, or if he did he fucked up.

Disagree. Just like Luffy vs Lucci ended a few chapters before the end of Ennies Lobby, Luffy vs Kizaru will likely end a good few chapters before Egghead ends.

That shit started in Chapter 405, got several chapters of focus, then had jumped to Nami, Sanji and Zoro's fights, then went back to Luffy for 10 more chapters until 427.

You are not factoring in like 90% of the involved characters in this arc. Guess we'll revisit this conversation in 6 months i guess

Don't put words in my mouth. This development does not scream full fight. Luffy can win next chapter via one shot for all I care. This fight will clearly not last long.

This development does not scream Luffy vs Kaido fight but it can still end with a winner.

Luffy vs Cracker was also a short fight and Luffy still won.

That's why I kept saying that Luffy "could" one shot Kizaru, that had nothing to do with powerscaling, it was solely because the development of the arc was already screaming "short fight" in my eyes.

I think the fight could technically end next chapter, which could be named after "Emperor Luffy".

Maybe next chapter we get a full chapter fight with G5 Luffy vs Awakened Kizaru and the fight concludes with already a winner.

Considering it took Kaido around 10 chapters to cut off Kiku’s arm, I would say this is a massive upscale for Akainu.

It would be cool if Akainu starts preparing a huuuge fleet to chase after the remaining Yonko and either in Elbaf or Lodestar we will see a huge all-out war between all parties and forces.

For the fight to become a real, drawn-out one Luffy & Kizaru need to get out of the dome. They won't be able to go all out where they are. Luffy because his friends are here and Kizaru because he has to watch for collateral damage.

Again, im not sure what that has to do with Kizaru losing this very arc lol. Fights can stop and pause. Plot moves forward. This is normal. Kizaru is absolutely the arc antagonist though. Its his time (in 20-30 chapters)

They might be interrupted for some chapters but then round 2 starts again, this time with both Luffy and Kizaru going all out, ACoA, ACoC and awakening stuff.

Akainu couldn't kill Kuma as Kuma escaped and he was yelled by a CD.

Don't ignore the rest of what happened.
