As a long time Gorosei sceptic Saturn looked insane this chapter. Tashtalking everything around him, healing from attacks, stare-diffing, going for some brutal executions. Very impressive.
Luffy vs Kizaru. Was a meh fight. Not surprised it’s over (at least for now) since we got the Vs chapter so quick. Kizaru‘s showing was… okay. Nothing amazing. Not helped by the fight being so poor. So far Egghead’s Kizaru’s character builidng has been very good, mediocre for his actual fight.
Seeing some Sanji slander, which is both fair and unfair.
On the one hand, of course Saturn is going to look great in his (and the Gorosei in generals) first real showing. And it’s looking like hax that’s keeping Sanji down.
On the other hand, Sabo managed to escape all five Gorosei plus Imu, and Oda could have at least tried to have Sanji look somewhat cool before being beaten. He did not.
Very much can’t wait for the God’s Valley flashback. Kuma‘s a longtime great but kind of under the radar character. Might get to see teenage Dragon (dragged along as a Marine by Garp?) First view of Rocks?

The art is so fucking amazing, Oda outdid himself there, especially considering the art 2 chapters ago.

The Nika and slaves part connection is so fucking amazing, it gives shivers down my spine.
Kuma wanted to become Nika, goddamnit. He freed the SHs in Sabaody. He didn't only free Luffy from the oppression of the marines but if it wasn't for him, Nika would have never appeared in Wano. This is so fucking nuts and now we are about to experience Nika liberating Kuma and his daughter from Saturn's oppression, fucking hell.
Warrior of "sunshine" Nika is also an amazing surname, it is more fitting for the warrior who brings laughter and liberates people from oppression, he is their sunshine.
The celestial dragons are really pure trash, I seriously don't understand how one can be so evil. Nevertheless, Garling is so fucking hype and handsome. I really wonder what happened to Shanks in God Valley.

Young Iva is cool and Jinny, who is she? Is she Luffy's mom or Bonney's mom? She loves meat and has Luffy's eyes so she could be Luffy's mom but she could also be Bonney's mom.

10/10 chapter, GODA overdid himself and I don't mind that there is a break next week anymore.

Each chapter that passes by, kaido becomes more and more of a GOAT lol, his defeat was trash because Oda made him too strong.
Kizaru took one ACoC punch and was out of action, kaido took ACoC attacks from 3 different people and barely felt it lol.
Oda could‘ve cut so much from the first and especially the second thrash act also in the final act so much panelwasting. He could‘ve ended Kaido‘s fight within Chapter 1050-1055 even in his awakened form.

Let it happen. I thought Chapter 1100 would see Luffy victorious over Kizaru, but this would be fire Dragon finally doing something crazy
I was expecting Kuma’s backstory to be sad, but it still got me. Even the Nika stuff couldn’t ruin it.
Looks like we’ll be seeing the origins of some of the Revolutionary Army which is long overdue.
Ginny looks like she’s Bonney’s mom, but it’s obviously going to end badly for her.
Saturn’s abilities are interesting. It also looks like it may be “the eternal youth surgery” in operation, so that implies it’s not just never aging but also regenerating from attack.
Things look grim for the Strawhats, but we know Kuma and the ancient robot are ready to hop in anytime.
Seems like the Strawhats still need saving even now. Also shows just how delusional the claim that 1 Yonko crew in anyway is comparable to the entire WG is.
Still kinda disappointed that Luffy needs saving. I know it’s partly plot to keep Luffy & Kizaru on the sideline for now, but still.
