Luffy already has the goal of defeating everyone, this would give their fight another reason to happen.
it would also make Buggy the true successor of roger, true king of pirates

IMO it was obvious at Imu-sama's introduction but yeah, he's got 9 subordinates stronger than Shiryu, with Garland and the Seraphim potentially matching or exceeding Shiryu too.

Teach has Kuzan and Shiryu.

Imu has Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Garling, Akainu, Kizaru, Ryokugyu, 8 god knights, and 7 seraphim.
