Idk, GB was afraid despite Shanks being miles away from him.

I feel like Shanks can just spam DD and take out most admirals. Like even Oden couldn’t resist DD, the dude got sent flying. And Oden was already a top tier.

They will have attacks that can clash/cancel out DD probably or their evasiveness can help them. The point is, no one can clown Kid anymore for getting 1 shotted by a strong move like that. I believe even Luffy gets one shotted with a clean hit if he’s not in g5. G5 shenanigans will survive that.
I do think that stronger willed and physically tougher characters like Akainu/Kuzan can endure DD though
