IMO, if all the slow-moving pre-1100 fb was meant for anything, is to deliver a big twist on the next chapter. 1100 is where things shake up, massively, in the present. Either by Dragon's miraculous arrival, or Kuma's saving the scene, or Luffy's return in force. But 1100 must deliver something worthwhile.
But I surely not expect the arc to end after that, so having 1101/02 move toward the epilogue is too fast. I don't think the SHs will move away from Egghead for another 10 chapters, at least.
