Honestly, as much as it sucks to hear, the fact is that the Gorosei are being held back by the plot. Saturn could have literally used his explosive attack and kill everyone here, or used the poison that melts buildings, or used any of his other hax, yet he didn't. Loda just can't write these situations in any believable way that doesn't have any of the Straw Hats dying. Obviously he wouldn't kill any of them, but surely there are better ways of circumventing this problematic situation than simply pretending these abilities don't exist.

There really isn't people are gonna pick it apart no matter what

If they all just ran off or was protected by someone people would say they're useless and how Oda cares more about the side characters

If they fight back people will complain how are the lower level strawhats fighting back against a gorosei

Saturn just started clashing with them I'm sure if they are still fighting next chapter he'll pull more out his bag

I say we let oda cook and judge egghead as a collective arc at the end
