Nobody is irredeemably evil. Especially in OP - have you seen the CDs already beginning a rehabilitation arc? An especially not if they had a sad childhood like Akainu did.

I can't agree with that. Oda completely changes the script when people expect it the least. Kuzan was seen as a good guy and joined the evil side. Kizaru was seen as a psychopath and Oda turned him into a good man that may even betray the WG. Everyone thinks Akainu will be evil to the core which instinctively makes me say that Oda has more prepared for him.

We only thought Kizaru was a psychopath because we didnt know anything about him, here Akainu seems aware of many things including the nuking of an entire country by the WG and hes still doing his job. I mean Im down for a curve ball but so far he doesnt seem to care even though he knows.
