If they were going to die, then there was no need to put the crew in danger, they could have peacefully left and Kizaru would kill vegapunk and then the gorosei secure the above.

I did not enjoy it at all, the way Big Mom got treated and handicaped and the stupid ending, typical of Oda's treatment and use of BM and a lazy excuse to remove her of the story disgusted me.
