Marco wasn’t a yonko candidate don’t know where that came from? the gorosei said Marco along with the rest of the WBP are the best chance of stopping Blackbeard other than the emperors not that he could be an emperor.
95% of the time people need to simply sit back and think, "How does this look to the viewer?"
Yeah, we can circumstance any scene to death if we'd like, but simply, how does it appear to the viewer when you have 3 characters, and only 2 of them fight for #1 spot?

Well context matters, for example people ignore the fact Koby had been in jail for weeks and was clearly not at his peak shape. They think he went from below Demaro black level to fucking Vice Admiral in one arc when we know that he mastered Rokushiki faster than anyone in the verse.
Kizaru showed this arc killing his best friend fucked him up and he likely considers Akainu and Aokiji friends.
he already 'revived' when he went to egghead and punched saturn.... because "science can't overcome inner wills" or what was the phrase at the very start of the arc

That doesn’t mean he was revived. Remember when the dead lady smiled in thriller bark? It’s the same thing. The inner will overcoming death and what not

Right but he is weaker-willed than Aokiji and especially Akainu, that is portrayal that he is weaker than them and this is reflected in his lack of ambition in trying to achieve the highest rank of Fleet Admiral

I don't think its the same thing, I didnt even really see it as death. Vega and Bonney even kept repeating the phrase "(losing his will and mind)is basically death" as if they wanted us to feel like they were feeling the pain of kuma's 'death', but that technically it wasn't death.
Bad example honestly, nobody knows where Koby is at power level wise, anyone's guess is playing dartboard

You can argue the same things about Kuzan losing and running off though? the admirals arent as one dimensional as you portray them and we know for a fact that emotions can be negative in a fight like with Sanji and women or Kat getting exposed.
YOU are assuming that hes weaker willed for not wanting to fuck up his friends.
