The end of the Egghead arc was worse than Wano, anyone with half a brain knows that.
In Wano, we had tension at the end:
- Izo, Ashura, Mr-Go, and Luffy (who temporarily died) all died.
- We had Luffy and Zoro in a coma for 7 days, both needing a blood transfusion and immediate treatment, whereas in Egghead, we had none of that.
- Vegapunk, the hilarious guy who wanted to be killed, didn’t die.
- Kizaru failed the mission, and the government did too, yet the message was still transmitted, so:
- Vegapunk is still alive and even managed to transmit the message to the world, while the government has a wrong perspective on what happened and thinks they are the 'victors.'
- The only thing the government actually got was the Mother Flame, which no one was interested in getting, so they weren't competing against anyone for that objective.
If it weren't for the fact that Yonko Luffy proved himself to be far superior to Admiral Kizaru and the Gorosei, I would say this would be the worst arc in One Piece.
