It could go the road of Imu take back his power during fight so they can get hurt cause Imu need to go all out vs luffy .
That is possible but time will tell.
Imu is like a vampire, he can make more vampires and give them powers, vampires are also immortal in the sense that they can't die from old age but things like sunlight/mother flame can kill them.
