There is literally WAY MORE REASON to doubt Kuzan's words than there is for mihawk's lol


Garp was his mentor and friend. And Garp literally calls him out on holding back and SHOWING CONCERN for Garp. Someone who is going all out to killl another guy is not pausing in the middle of the fight and asking if the other person is okay lol


Juxtapose this to mihawk, where he had no reason to not try to kill goofy after he said so. He even apologized to shanks for doing so.

One of the funniest things about this fandom is that people will literally argue against the words of the very character they're stanning, and even root for their characters to get negative character development. Kuzan stopped wavering after Blue Hole, but Admiral fans want their boy to be a weak-willed bitch because it helps them win a petty powerscaling argument lol.

That aside, yes, Kuzan-san seems to be special within the ranks. While Janitor was portrayed as the first mate in the color spread, Kuzan was featured in the double spread of the remarkable ones.
