Wano was thought of as a mysterious and powerful nation because all people ever saw were guys like Oden and Ryuma.

But those guys were just exceptions because we saw the legendary samurai of wano with our own eyes. They were just fodders.

The same thing is happening here, and people still haven’t connected the dots that this is not a mythical land of numerous high tiers.

@EmperorKinyagi keeps bringing Saturn but Saturn fruit wasn't hyped in particular tbh
It’s not the fruit, it’s the aura. Nothing on screen from Loki tops the aura Saturn initially had when he showed up and the Kuma flashback started. The Gorosei abilities are secretive so obviously there was no hype in that sense.

He hyped the fuck out of Ryokugyu soloing the alliance just for him to retreat from Shanks
He hyped the fuck out of Saturn (clearly above Kizaru for him) clapping Nika for him to be an useless bum
Yeah I can understand why he sees everything as fake hype now lmao
The moment he fake hyped Sanji after blocking the laser he got hoed by kiz
This man and TAC need to be locked down

Difference is that Big Mom (the same you said ruined Elbaf hype) was certain she would DESTROY Whitebeard, Shanks and Kaido with the help of Elbaf. She really thought she would obliterate all of the competitions. and Elbaf has consistently being refered as the strongest nation even though Tottland is considered as one.

Aura scaling is unfair because it advantages characters with a stoic personality in general. This is why many people somehow believe Ryokugyu is massively below other admirals

I don’t trust Big Meme.

For me there's also the legendary fruit hype. When a fruit gets hyped the one who ate the fruit gets good showings. Whether it's a trickster type fruit or pure strenght, Loki is going to be show off in a way or anotehr.
Yeah I agree. I just think Loki is probably strong. Not above admirals, maybe on par with current Luffy, definitely above Law/Kid

Wano country was strong if you take out Oden and Ryuma you have scabbards , Hyougoro when he young , the other dudes that was with Yamato that end up dying .
So i sure the nation of giants strong and got powerful people but issues is like with any Shonen .
A country or nation can't really look that strong when it can get taken out by few hax people .

That Doflamingo, he keeps appearing even as a memory hahahha.

The real boss. Btw, this "special" bounty of Loki must be like Sanji's, only Alive or only Dead.

He might indeed have a similar fruit as Luffy, as the Giants were saying that Luffy looked just as their Sun God, which in this case, its Loki, habing a fruit which is passed through the royalty family.

That robin panel was so damn nostalgic and wholesome!

Also really enjoying Luffy and Loki’s dynamic. I agree with others in that I don’t think he gives villain vibes. But I do think it would be a welcome twist if he was.

I don't think the writer can restrain Luffy like he did previously. In the past, Luffy would encounter barriers before he could rush toward an antagonist and beat him up. It's not clear whether Loki is an antagonist yet, despite it being suggested he will cause an apocalypse, killed his dad, stole a fruit, and fought every giant in Elbaf before being imprisoned and sentenced to death, but it is clear Luffy rushed to him as a result of him being powerful.

People say Luffy got captured by Road easily, but that's something that the writer probably also considered could only happen if Luffy was unconscious. He was with people he considered friends, got drunk, and while in a crazy mist his ship got stolen with him inside it. From the writer's perspective, he had to think of something ridiculous to create a barrier for Luffy before he could start running around freely and that was it.

The writer's struggle seems to be "Luffy is so strong that it's difficult to put him in a situation he can't get out of especially now that he has become an Emperor of the Sea." I believe this is part of the narrative, and the plot devices he has used before have become ineffective over time as Luffy grew stronger.

To further discuss Loki, I would say it is also clear that he has something planned. He likely plans to trigger that apocalypse event. He failed to mention to Luffy why he was captured. He only stated he wanted to be free and then tried to make a deal with Luffy.

People think he's the Fenrir or the Jormungadr or the Nidhogg, but what if he just causes them to appear instead of actually being them?
