Anyway, Homunculus is supposed to be disgusting and kind of stupid, Hideo tried to combine the trauma and existential aspects of life with the grotesque, but it didn't go well.
Nakaoshi is first and foremost an example of a mentally unstable narcissist trying to find an explanation for his own existence and for himself. And when he sees the chaotic nature of life, that human beings are fragile beings, that when confronted with trauma and loneliness, they fall into a hole, that they lose everything they have, even their own selves, Nakaoshi probably realized that he had been "looking into the abyss" for too long, to the point that he wasn't even able to have feelings like love, the only thing he had was his narcissistic desire to find an explanation for his self, he pursued this desire to the point that he fell into total madness.
In the end, he will probably be arrested for killing the girl, and he will certainly kill himself later, because when Nakaoshi realized that there isn't an awnser to his self, he completely lost the connection to the material world, and no human being is able to live without a reason and without being able to connect to the material world.
Hideo's message with the manga is probably that if you try to solve the puzzle of your mind by yourself, such as traumas, lack of prsonality and depression, you will always lose the battle, and you will be nothing but a slave of your own mind until you can't bear your own existence anymore.

Mfs are only making fun of it because the trope is very memeable. But because other trashy series did it, doesnt mean it will be bad in OP. Compare Kaguya, F tier villain, or the average NnT villain that comes out of nowhere, to Imu, who makes sense, is properly foreskinned and is actually a very much needed introduction that fills a hole that was created around 850 chapters ago.
Saul is also an example of how to handle a survival well, but Oda still fumbled 90% of the fakeouts, which is my biggest complain, just like all the "pretty" girls being nami clones.
I genuinely think Evil Pranks coming to Elbaf will be peak if Oda handles it well.
