-He also saved both Luffy and Nami to safety like 2 arcs after just barely meeting them and nearly died in an avalanche that broke his ribs

-Also willingly offered himself as a sacrifice to big mom meaning eminent death

-Wanted to die for Luffy when Kuma threatened to take him

-Took double the thunder strikes from Enel while saving Usopp and Nami and decided to smoke while smiling

In none of those scenes do you see “fear” You don’t know what fear is
