I just realized that Scopper himself can drop MASSIVE Shanks lore due to this twin. He knows literally everything about Shanks, as does Rayleigh

Shanks is probably human, as all clones or created humans are. Shanks is likely taken by Roger from God Valley where Celestial Dragons are created/cloned.
That’s speculation of course, but this “Shanks” has a noticeably younger appearance. He is not a twin by birth. Birth means basically nothing for strength, except that some people like Big Mom have natural advantages. All that matters is that you fight and defeat strong opponents. If Big Mom had never trained she would still be big and scary, but only a scary strong human rather than a sorceress demigod. Shanks is only at his level because he fought and trained with the strongest in the world and pushed himself his whole life. Even with training, this “Shanks” has had no combat to speak of against truly powerful enemies. We know about all the truly strong people in recent history and he didn’t beat or even fight any of them as far as we can tell. No one seems to be familiar with him or know that he exists.
Manufactured/augmented like the Seraphim is most likely explanation for his strength imo. However, I think the whole sword thing could just be classic Oda red herring and the guy may actually have some busted fruit power and happens to fight with a sword.

I understand your reasoning’s and points, they are very well thought out minus 2 points
1. Garling was fighting guys like WB, Rocks, Roger, Rayleigh, Gaban and possibly Garp? In his prime. If you think he didn’t train and spar with his own son “Shanks” then idk what would convince you of his power
Plus he definitely sparred with the other god’s knights at least
2. Where did you get the idea of “Shsnks” looking younger? He legitimately looks identical to the current Shanks

This Shanks has a generally more youthful appearance, shorter beard, no stress lines or wrinkles at all, and shorter hair.
Sparring never made anyone that powerful. It’s possible he got trained and sparred with those people, but for the world at large to have no awareness of him at all means he has never fought anyone noteworthy. Either that or any of his victories have been credited to Shanks, such as stopping Kaido before Marineford, which is also entirely possible. It just won’t make sense for the guy to show up out of nowhere as a top-tier swordsman and haki user when it took Shanks adventuring for a lifetime alongside the literal pirate king and facing down the strongest enemies in the world to get there. Sparring with dad and the other knights is just not equal to Shanks’ lifetime of life and death combat.
Although, I’m thinking like a normal person and author. Oda pulled Koby’s strength right out of his ass, so who knows what he may do with this already lazy character design.
