That whole interaction of Loki saying “thanks for the heads up“ and Gunko explaining “those arrows are the determined course of my future” wouldn’t be in there if this was just FS being used.

Prove to me that df users can use haki while bound in seastone first.
If Devil Fruit users have their haki turned off when they are in contact with Kairoseki, how did Loki manifest that thunderous presence that attracted Luffy at the beginning of the arc? How did Luffy train Ryuo while he was imprisoned?

Garp went to the site of one of the genocide games and then had the audacity to be upset about his son becoming a revolutionary.:whitepress:
Granting that he immediately became disenchanted with the government and never sought a higher position where he would work directly with those people. Garp’s character has a ton of potential to deal with complex issues of repressed trauma and hopelessness, passive despair and participation in a broken system you genuinely believe you cannot fix. His naive hopes for his son to become a change from within and enjoy a life growing old with him in the same kind of passive participation were dashed and undoubtedly crushed his spirit. He knew, or thought he knew, that his son would inevitably fail and be killed by the powers that be, and now his grandson. Even now he is desperately trying to keep the flame alive in Koby.

Imo one of the best and so far underdeveloped characters in the series.

Kid’s gonna have a backstory with Shamrock

it would explain why he targeted Shanks over the timeskip
How would shamrock tie into it?

Shamrock: “My brother took your arm? You should kill him”

If you were sea-stone-bound while being attacked, but you had access to haki; would you:

A): Use FS to see yourself getting your ass beat

B): Use armament to protect yourself

?

If that was FS, Loki has shit for brains

Prove to me someone without CoO used can dodge boundman close range when we see people (like Doffy) use CoO and fail to dodge most hits

Prove to me how
If those arrows are determined course of her future and Loki could already sense her attack before she even attacks then what should we call this?

Instinct now predicting movements
You’re hyperfixating on a small interaction, that was not even Oda’s focus. Loki insulted Shanks, Luffy threw a punch, that’s just it.

I already told you, arrows are telegraphed where she will hit Loki. Loki predicted it based off her attack pattern earlier. You keep dodging the question, it was already stated in the manga that df users can’t use haki while they’re in contact with seastone.

They can’t use their haki, that doesn’t mean that other haki users can’t feel their presence/strength.

Luffy only trained ryuo when he wasn’t in seastone cuffs anymore. Just read a couple pages back in this thread, someone already brought up the panel.

Where in the world you got that - df user can't use haki while being in contact with sea stone

Loki has been described as very treacherous, so what if he's acting like he passed out to see if he could somehow be unchained? Well, there's no point in the Holy Knights going to such lengths to knock him out if they're not going to kill him. It's just a waste of energy.
The point that there's no point in leaving Loki alive if he doesn't have some purpose is very valid.
Shamrock could drag him away if he was passed out just like Zoro and Sanji dragged dinosaurs away in Little Garden.

Bro if you could use haki and have acoc or strong enough armament/internal destruction then breaking out would be a walk in the park. That’s why df users can’t use haki while in contact with seastone.

Meh, Garp is a cool guy, but the refusing promotions thing always felt like cope to me tbh. Garp is a pretty high ranking navy member who is generally loyal and respected. I don't think it really matters if he's a vice admiral or an admiral. I get why oda included that element though

Next time we get a gorosei meeting, we can see them talk about Garp being kidnapped, and cross guild, which will be pretty cool I think

Why don’t we all shift gears to a discussion about why it is that both Haki and Devil Fruit powers are suppressed by the same material?

Lol Luffy not using haki cause he was weak due to seastone =/= everyone can't use haki when chained by seastone
It is actually. If the main character can’t do it in the arc when he is learning the relevant skills, then there is no way anyone else is doing it in just a random situation without a Don and some emphasis on the fact they did it.

:josad:Loki can't use haki but his haki can be sensed afar by Luffy

when he screamed and oozed haki , people felt it
But no, "df users can't use haki cause we saw Luffy at udon was weak "

Udon luffy =/= Loki

:willight:
So Luffy could sense him from miles away with haki and Loki couldn’t sense Luffy at all because his haki is suppressed??????

Thank you for literally proving our point. Good lord.
