So Shanks is basically a Shamrock who was found by Roger during the god valley incident (Shanks was a baby - 1year old at the time), and started to be raised by the way of pirates instead of figarlands since then, ending up looking up to Roger, probably viewing him as more of a father than Garling (assuming Roger told him about his origins / found about it himself at one point), interesting
