Loki should not fight for any side once he's released. He should give the hands to the HK's and the crew. That's why pairing him up with Kid fits so well. Both are Shanks victims and hate him, so they won't fight for Luffy because he jerks of to Shanks and surely not his twin because his face is trigger enough.

Loki is a good guy.

That being said, I would honestly see him better as a BB parallel, trying to bring chaos to the world in the name of a prophecy.
