After a bit of pondering...

I don't think Imu is tied to any of the aforementioned Gods. When Vegapunk said the war between JB and the Kings was ambiguous, I wondered how so. Now I think we have an idea. It seems when JB awakened and became Nika, he was doing what the apparent original one did, which seems to piss off the other Gods. So, Imu and the other Kings opposed JB to prevent the Serpent from arising once more.

But the irony is, it seems Imu did such an awful job of keeping the world balanced, that Nika was allowed to come back and make a better world.

Of course, does that mean if Nika can return, can the Serpent be allowed, as well?

I don't think we should think of them as gods... Probably just rulers... . . Also why is Alabasta on the side of joyboy... It's been told they were against him and after the war they decided to be against WG

I would guess Lily bought the idea that Joy Boy was too dangerous and had to be killed for the good of the world...but then realized her fellow royals, or at least Imu, may have exaggerated things, and realized she had to do what she could to amend her mistake.

I am gonna take a gander:

2nd World ended with the Void Century and the Death of Joyboy. He lost against Imu and the Kingdoms. They formed the WG and the men that became Gods are the CDs.

The Deity of the Sea is not literal, it means something happened to the Sea. This was probably the first instance of the water rising. To kill Joyboy, they screwed with the ocean forever.

They killed Joyboy at Enies Lobby the same way Lulusia was destroyed. Its the only other "Hole" like Lulusia.

Maybe they forgot their history. And then Lily regained those memories/history and understood that the 19 kingdom alliance and imu are the evil, and once again allied with soyboy.


Like, there must have been a reason for Lily to turn traitor against the 19 kingdoms and fuck them in the ass by spreading the poneglyphs. So that's probably it.

Also, the "fake" alabasta history that robin read off the poneglyph to deceive crocodile might actually have been the real history of Alabasta. It was said to be from 3000 years ago or something.

So Lily read those and figured it all out.

I am unsure if there are actual legit Gods in One Piece's world, but it seems there's some kernel of truth to it.

Unless it was like the Gods were just the most powerful people of their time and the Sun God was a upstart commoner. And then they and the other "Gods" died and were replaced by the World Nobles.
