Well, I've asked this question multiple times. What does The Wings of the pirate king mean?, because I've been told that it has nothing to do with strength or importance, because Zoro is far above Sanji and Nami is more important. But When Oda dropped this line, it should have been made obvious how he views Luffy, Zoro and Sanji. I've always said that the way this fandom views Sanji and the way Oda does is actually vastly different, but as we get closer to the end it'll' become more and more clear. This by the way takes nothing away from Zoro, because it's never been about taking away anything from Zoro, just recognizing WHO SANJI IS IN THIS STORY.

Fact of the manga is that Oda just wrote that Gaban is the left hand man of the pirate king and equal to him and Ray. If Luffy is Roger and Zoro is Ray than it's simply over.
