Elder Lee Hung

Conqueror of the Stars
Gamma Knife followed by counter shock too
He also got hit by injection shot and red hawk prior to that
To put him down for good Luffy literally split Dressrosa in half
Doffy was a team effort like Kaido was, he just required less people damaging him than Kaido did. If not for Law and later the gladiators, Luffy couldn’t have beaten Doffy alone.

Katakuri was a true 1v1 for Luffy, except Luffy didn’t beat Katakuri the way he beat Doffy and Kaido. Luffy KO’d Kaido and Doffy for seemingly days and/or a week, Doffy likely had several broken bones and severe injuries and Kaido likely did as well. Katakuri never had any kind of severe injuries like that, he pretty much just gave up because Oda turned him into a Luffy fanboy lmfao.

People disrespect Oda’s antagonists too much. Oda post timeskip has had his major antagonists either go down in group fights or just straight up throw their fights like Katakuri did.

I'm not disagreeing. I pretty much always had Doffy YC1 level at worst but based on his DR feats he can't beat Kuri, in fact, I don't even think he comes close. Kuri is just the strongest YC1 imo. Oda gave him everything on top of being a milestone fight for the MC.
This is why we can’t use feats to scale definitively because feats don’t always tell the full story.

How would Doffy vs Luffy go without Law’s help? We don’t know. (Doffy mid diffs).

How would Kuzan vs Larp go if Kuzan actually used his fruit and didn’t have an emotional breakdown mid fight? We don’t know.

How would Saint Shanks vs Kid go if Saint Shanks didn’t sneak attack Kid when Kid was focused on his fleet? We don’t know.

How would Apoo vs Luffy go if Zolo wasn’t there to save Luffy? We don’t know.

Feats are pretty useless when stating broader power levels unless you look at a pure all-out 1v1 with no outside factors like Aokiji vs Akainu or Big Job vs Crydo, which are super rare.

Portrayal gentlemen. It’s all about portrayal.

I find it completely absurd that the WG would give us four updated Shichibukai bounties, and the lowest bounty was above Katakuri’s bounty while the highest was more than 3 times his bounty if Oda actually intended that all Shichibukai were weaker than Katakuri lmfao. That would be as bizarre as Oda intending for the Yonko to be stronger than Himkainu despite giving none of them a higher bounty than Him.

The Shichibukai are intended to be relative to top YCs, and the top YC’s like the man who killed Kaido’s rival, Katakuri, and King/Queen are themselves highly underrated.

Ling and Mochi basement dweller will look like total fodders when Shiryu gets the arc antagonist focus. You mfs aren't ready for the next powercreep, Raiju beast devil fruit incoming.

First BB pirate that we see him joining on panel.

He was also smart enough to know without Teach, he couldn't escape from Magellan and prison as well so he had to save him. :BigW:

Kiku has ryou she could cut Kaido bro, prove Katakuri can hurt Kaido

I’m also gonna ignore every other stat that makes a character strong
So, following your logic, Katakuri may have speed, versatility, and other attributes above Kiku, but that doesn’t change the fact that he lacks the AP to deal any significant damage to Kaidou. If Kiku, who used Ryou, could only inflict a shallow wound, and if four Scabbards combining their attacks could only cause superficial damage to Kaidou, then Kiku was already in a terrible position here. What could Katakuri do without that level of Haki? At best, he could dodge and prolong the fight, but that doesn’t mean he has any real chance of victory. If Kiku managed to deal minor damage and was still irrelevant, then Katakuri, without comparable offensive Haki, is just a fighter who could survive longer but would never pose a real threat. In the end, the result would be the same: Katakuri doesn’t have the power to take down Kaidou and would be nothing more than a nuisance to him.

Overall, Katakuri is far superior to Kiku, but against Kaidou, the difference in their levels doesn't matter—neither of them poses a real threat on their own.

Katakuri lasts more than Yamato if Kaido decides not to use FS, unless you think he used it against Yamato
