I'm sure Oda will work on the whole nightmare thing and give him something important to do (help defeat a Holy Knight), but I'm just going on what I'm seeing so far.
Until proven otherwise Sommers is spoiled, Doffy is hardened. Sommers may like to dish it out but not being able to take it (Pearl, Enel, Cracker). Doffy certainly could take it and dish it out. That would in essence make Sommers a bully but Doffy something else (I wouldn't call him a psycho).
You're thinking of the citizens of totoland and random pampered younger members like flampe. All the older members know about Katakuris face and don't care, and basically everyone does respect him and like him, they were angered at the idea of him losing
