I think from the kid clues where he still blindfold, it most likely genetics. since he got his df power after killing his father, which means he be a adult around this time.

also maybe loki father abused him out of sight, why loki mention you think i wanted to kill him/choice. since his father tore of his own horns...so he covered loki eyes...unless he also got rid of loki eyes...but i doubt that..be to dark.

Saul belongs to the giant race that has Big forearm, small legs, and no horns, I can see Hajrudin's mom is the same race with Saul. They don't use any weapons, just rely on their bare fist. Hajrudin being a mixed giants, he does use both fist and weapons.
Are there any other giants race than these two? Let's say Whitebeard, he has a normal proportion, but his son 'Weevil' looks more like Saul. Maybe his ancestor is a mixed giant like Hajrudin.
